Newcastle Broon Ale Bread
Our sublime Newcastle Broon Ale Bread is made from a premium fine brown flour with malted wheat grains.
Our special ingredient is the world famous Newcastle Brown Ale, which is brewed locally at the Federation Brewery, on the banks of the Tyne.
This tasty bread has a uniquely nutty and malty flavour that complements any meal.
Nettle Bread
No - it doesn't sting, and only some-one who has tasted nettles would know how near to the taste of nettles this bread really is.
With the added tang of celery, garlic and parsley this makes a totally unique bread
for sandwiches or an accompaniment to salads.
Genuine Geordie Stottie
There are many recipes and variations of the Stottie, ours has been developed as a sandwich bread that will accompany the widest variety of fillings, from ham and pease pudding to crunchy nut salads.
It has even been said that Hadrian when building the wall would (allegedly) dry out the local Stotties and use them as chariot wheels which could be removed and used as shields!
Ciabatta
Our ciabatta is made with strong white flour and brushed with extra virgin olive oil.
Ideal for panini type sandwiches.
We also make ciabatta flavoured with tomato or rosemary and garlic.
Brioche "Queen of Breads"
A very much forgotten bread in the UK, but very popular in Europe, brioche is made with a soft white dough enriched with sugar, butter and egg. Close textured and good on its own, try it toasted with scrambled egg and smoked salmon for a special breafast or light lunch. |

Italian Stonecut
Adapted from an old Italian farmhouse recipe this bread is made using a rather unique process where we totally miss out the process of final proof, and cut deeply into the dough to make an uneven crust
The result is a close textured cob with a subtle taste of olive oil, and a smooth eating quality, and is a great mopper-up of gravy, soup or pasta sauce.

Sunflower & Lemon
Sunflower seeds, lemons, lemon peel and a mixture of mild herbs make this a bread full of vitamin C.
It is very good with any fish dish and toasted provides an excellent accompaniment to breakfast, salads or light lunches.
Dark Rye and Caraway Bloomer
For those who prefer a stronger flavoured bread that is still light to eat try dark rye and caraway.
It makes exceedingly good hot beef sandwiches, or with a strong crumbly cheese and pickle becomes very piquant. Also very good on its own with a cup of your preferred coffee.
